So lovely of Francisco to open up his shop to just two of us on a Sunday night. We loved all of the dishes & wine (+ the beer that Francisco thoughtfully provided for he-who-does-not-drink-wine). For me, highlights were the prawn head & asparagus soup...More

Firstly this is not a restaurant. Therefore those seeking a restaurant experience will potentially be disappointed. However, what la Oliva does offer is an intimate private home style type of cooking. Think of your Mum cooking a meal for you at home. In that context...More

This place is magical. Francisco, your host, is a beautiful person and being in his care is worth the experience alone. The food though is superb, very fundamental and very authentically Spanish. My three sisters and I plus all of our children, most of whom...More

Nice little restaurant on the corner of the street. We enjoyed the tapas here. Everything was nicely presented and has a good taste.

Having read about La Olivia on Trip Advisor, and being very interested in food and drink, we thought it would be an interesting evening to try authentic local foods and learn something about them. Contacted Francisco via e mail, and he got straight back, after...More

This is not a meal, it’s an experience. Francisco is the owner/chef and he regales you with a running commentary on the food, his life, language, and society. The menu is fixed. Many small plates with a wonderfully varied approach toward the food. The food...More

Very intimate setting - a very small restaurant with 4 tables, all home made and put together by Francisco himself right in front of your eyes. We started with 3 local olive oils, and the evening then consisted of 5 local wines and about 12-14...More

Francisco provided a truly unique and intimate experience at La Oliva. The many small courses were prepared and paced with a lot of care. It was exciting to learn from Francisco about Spanish cuisine throughout the few hours, since he introduced each course and explained...More

I share the opinions of many other posters regarding the quality of the food (simple, small portions and not “gourmet”) and the value of the experience. This is a lovely man who enjoys entertaining, teaching about granadian cuisine and ingredients and making everyone happy. When...More

The place is very small so you'll need a reservation but the experience is worthwhile. 13/14 tastings very simple yet excellent. A different wine matches a group of courses giving an interesting taste of Spanish prime ingredients and local products. It's definitely not a shop,...More

For the restaurant, because the meal has many courses, it lasts for a few hours. For this reason Francisco tells guests what time they need to arrive. I think we were asked to arrive at about 7pm
