It's an absolutely lovely cafe with outside seating! The service was fantastic and the tapas were AMAZING. I really can't describe how good these tapas were. The chicken curry was mouth watering and the pork with rosemary was also savory and amazing. I definitely recommend...More

Great snacks and great service. it was directly opposite our hotel, Las Casas de la Juderia, and we meet for breakfast and for drinks prior to going for meals. Good location to site and watch the world got by.

Delicious tapas well prepared and served with a smile. Fried cheese queso frito with compote was very tasty and cooked perfectly. Excellent gazpacho. Squid with black rice was also very nice.

We had breakfast here a couple of times, drinks often and tapas one evening. No complaints at all. Nice staff. Very relaxed. Open until very late. Serving food until very late.Little suntrap in the heart of the street.

We enjoyed some tasty tapas here but the service was very slow and my girlfriend's food was forgotten and we had to ask for it twice!

We´re sorry for the inconvenience, but I´m extremely surprised since our staff is properly trained to provide courteous service at all times, but we welcome all opinions. Please comeback and we'll do it better. Cheers!

Truly excellent spinach and garbanzo beans and also the ratatouille. Both are life-changingly good. The other dishes, not so much.

If sitting at the bar, are beers served in a small glass? Or does a bottle come that you pour into the glass? Or just a bottle?

We serve the beers in small glasses, we call "caña de cerveza" and also can serve in "botellines" (small bottles of 25 cl.), all very cold. :)

Description
Carmela Bar is opened since 1994, it is an excellent reference to taste TAPAS, an Andalusian tradition.
It is located between the Santa Cruz and La Juderia area, a very distinctive place of the Centre of Seville. This is the perfect place to make a break and sit down in its great terrace near the most important monuments of our city: the Alcazar, the Cathedral and the Giralda. It is also located very near La Carboneria, a famous place for live Flamenco music.
