We walked in to cool off after trying to see a church but ran into Siesta time. Do note in Spain many places still observe siesta and the area become dead quiet. Server still write order on the wooden counter. Only the restaurant side has...More

Returning after seven years, we sat for lunch as we were so hot from walking around. Sitting means no tapas menu, and instead the full restaurant list. There is an upstairs dining room mainly used at night and some tables at the back of the...More

It's a beautiful old bar with a lot of charm and character but that's about it. The food isn't great. Go in, grab a drink, take in the sights and head somewhere else for dinner.

Interesting building, but living off their history. Bare prawns sitting on a plate. Avoid the food. Have a drink and move on to better tapas bars such as Taberna Coloniales.

We read lots of comments on this place. Some of those told about a trick that the owners do to let you pay more... You enter, nobody welcomes you. The place is full and only after some minutes they look at you. You say: "we...More

The first tapas bar we visited in Spain was this gem - they allege to be the oldest in Spain. You certainly do feel a sense of history walking in the door, looking at the barrels of sherry, and eagerly anticipating the food as you...More

Oldest tapas bar in Seville, looks good, worth going for a drink, but rude staff. We had a meal there worked out the most expensive and poorest meal we had whilst in Seville, go for a bit of atmosphere and Basil fawlty like staff but...More

We had been here the year previous and absolutely loved it, food, fino, atmosphere and staff but to be fair our visits were all in the day. We went back to Seville a year later and I had this bar on a pedestal and insisted...More

We were lucky that this place was just around the corner from us. There is no doubt it is a little bit of a tourist trap but it still retains the feel of the Spanish bar from the 19th century. Don't expect any frills as...More

Good bar for drink, it's a very old one and has some nice history, but don't go there for food, nothing special better to go somewhere else for food.

Description
Located on the Calle Gerona, El Rinconcillo has been serving up Spanish cuisine in Seville since 1760. This historic restaurant boasts a rustic-chic dining room that is dressed up in cosmopolitan clothes. With understated whitewashed brick walls, beamed ceilings, chandeliers and fresh flower arrangements, El Rinconcillo attracts everybody from local celebrities to families who come to enjoy traditional tapas and Sunday meals, and the mosaic-tiled bar with wine barrel tables is perfect for pre-dinner drinks and mid-afternoon glasses of wine. The menu is an eclectic collection of tapas dishes, stews, seafood, meat and sweet flans for dessert, and you couldnt find a more quintessentially Spanish eatery in Seville if you tried.
