Fish restaurant. Food was good. Mrs M had black risotto and then sea bass (which was very good). I was less hungry and had a veg medley followed by another starter of squid. Both were under seasoned and there was no salt and pepper on the table. The table had lovely starched linen and the staff were very pleasant but... More

Probably among the best restaurants of traditional Asturian cooking. Everything is good. All type of fish superb. But anyway the traditional Asturian fabada is also to be considered. Dessert are also outstanding. Summarizing, when in Gijon Zabala is a restaurant to be visited.i

Casa Zabala is traditional restaurante established in Gijon, Asturias, some decades ago, restaurant with a strong basque influence. Now it is run by Guillermo Mori, grandson of the founders, and who has upgraded the restaurant to the highest level of quality. We have recently enjoyed a delicious dinner there. Excellent local food, good service, a place where you can have a great dinner! Even if is crowded in the evening we were lucky to found a table when they started to serve at 21:00. I totally recomand!
