This place is a little bit out of the way from Oviedo, but alone the drive out there is totally worth it. The location is beautiful and very peaceful. We came here to try the fabada as this is the star dish. We were not disappointed. The fabada was delicious. Definitely worth the ride up there.

Very helpful and friendly staff, restaurant is situated in a beautiful location, great views from the terrace. We ate from the vegan menu and the food was nice, would have liked more substance, no additional vegetables or salad so was hungry pretty soon after eating there. Ordered extra chips which were absolutely delicious! The other food coming out looked and... More

Casa Chema surprised us with not only the best and homestyle fabada, the pitu de caleya was one of the best as well. Service was very good also.

Great fabada, this is the place to go if you want to enjoy this excellent Asturias staple. Fabada will come as part of a menu, so be warned that if you stuff yourself with it as a starter, then you'll still have to deal with the excellent main course. We chose carne a la piedra, where you cook yourself your... More

This restaurant is 8 or 9 kms out of Oviedo to the South West, just outside a village called Las Caldos (hot Springs) where there is a large spa complex. This is family run bar and restaurant in a tiny Hamlet, you can easily miss the Restaurant - it is bright blue - this may help! It is set on... More

I am sure this a restaurant will surprise you. The idea was to go to taste the "best fabada of Asturias" with the family; but what we first enjoyed when arrived was the nice atmosphere and the breathtaking views of Asturias' hills. What surprised me were the concepts: allergy suitable menu, choices for vegetarians, slowfood philosophy...is something you do not... More

If you're in Oviedo you have to make an effort to get to this restaurant. It's located on a mountain side in a small wooded valley. The views are beautiful. The food is typical to the region and they have the best fabada ever!! They also have at least 6 or 7 choices for vegans, including vegan fabada! This is... More
