We tried to get in one evening for some pintxos but due to the enormous crowd inside and outside, we decided to go to another bar. We went back the next evening and we were able to sqeeze in. After having their pintxos, I now know why this place is jammed packed. We had the risotto with Idiazabal cheese, veal... More

Popped in one evening for a couple of Pintxos and beer. It's been a couple of years since I was there the last time. I had a risotto and a foie pintxo. They tasted good and was well prepared, but they didn't match the ones I've eaten there before. If it's a coincidence or if the quality has actually dropped;... More

We were in San Sébastien for a short break and, after a splendid meal at Arzak, were looking forward to a different type of experience. We were not disappointed. The small tapas bar was crowded, which is, of course a good sign. The food was all delicious andthe wine was perfect. This is a good bad to experience the night... More

We'd read good things about Borda Berri from several sources and decided to see what they had to offer on a rainy Thursday evening. The bar was teeming with people, packed in so tightly that it was difficult to make our way up to the bar and place our order, let alone to find somewhere to eat. The crowd seemed... More

Second visit to San Sebastian this year and the braised veal cheeks in red wine, as well as the pig's ear, remain in our opinion the best in town. Borda Berri remains in our top ten favourites and a great bar in the old town for comfort food.

This pinchos bar is fairly crowded, and with good reason The menu changes daily, and is listed on chalkboards with the dishes being crossed out when they run out. You belly up to the bar, make significant eye contact, place you beverage order, and then place your food order, which is then shouted to the kitchen. The food was all... More

As good as anything you will ever have in the UK. IBERICA, El Gato Negro, lunya...if not better. Very humble appearance masks amazing food.

If you are looking to try authentic but high quality pintxos Borda Berri is the place. Traditional and Authentic Cuisine with high quality ingredients, gourmet, delicious and well decorated dishes. If you are looking to discover the best you should try: the pumpkin soup, pig ears, calamaris, kebab and risotto also. Not expensive!

Not a cosy place but few of the pinxtosbars are. Tried tasty shrimp/crabravioli, vealcheeks in red wine, tuna with a taste of iberico ham. Everything excellent...advice to the chefs: go easy with the salt!
