This is a spacious, cheerful n bright bar-restaurant in the Old Town, with another eating room at the basement. You feel happy and good just being there. They carry a huge selection of food items, and one has to be careful not to overorder. We selected a large variety of yummy choices, and because the food was so very good,... More

Pleasantly surprised by the variety of tapas. Lots of seafood and easy of bread which is a welcome change. Fois Gras and Calamari were wonderful.

As the tapas bars were full to the brim, we dined downstairs at Zumeltzegi restaurant. The service was attentive, the menu very good and the food was good. The prices are reasonable. The waiters spoke pretty good English - better than our Spanish. There is a heavy focus on seafood as there is through most of Spain. We found the... More

Went there without reservations. Turned away from several higher rated restaurants for dinner. What a surprise. for 25E had 3 course meal with a bottle of wine. Seafood dishes were excellent and you had 6 choices in each category. Plentiful and very tasty. Very little English spoken but staff bent over backwards to make us happy. Filled with locals

I had a delicious lunch of traditional Basque dishes at Restaurante Zumeltzegi in the old part of Donostia. I had a fish soup, bread, and roasted lamb. I also had a sheep's milk dessert, a kind of rennet pudding - think yogurt. I loved every dish. The service is excellent. There is a waiter who speaks perfect English, French, Spanish,... More

We ate a tapas lunch in this very busy place. The food included interesting offerings. The place was popular to the point of being overcrowded and noisy. It was difficult to reach the bar containing tapas choices as so many people were congregated in the small area.

We came here on our second ever Pintxos experience and all in was fantastic. I think the key is to embrace the hustle and bustle these bars and just find your self a place to eat & drink. Once you work out how it all works the rest just flows. We found this one much less busy than some in... More

Very fresh and clean bar. Takes bookings but we stood at a table outside watching the world go by, which was fab. Good wine & good tapas, the service was excellent, so we can't complain.
