An old classic in San Sebastian, a great restaurant with a cozy old charming decoration and top fish dishes. Juanito Kojua is located at the eastern side of Parte Vieja and never betrayed its origins turning onto a tapas bar. They cook fish dishes at the right point of all the ingredients giving you a memorable moment.

We came to Juanito Kojua, recommended as one of the most traditional restaurants in the old quarter of San Sebastian for dinner. And it was a very good choice! ! We choose main courses for the kids, beef chops (very tender) with homemade french fries, and buttered hake with red "piquillo" peppers, and "extra" fries free of charge! For the... More

We tried this restaurant based on a recommendation of colleague and indeed the fish was good but apart from that nothing special. Service was good but not too friendly.

100 euro for a 2 course meal and bottle of wine. Fish soup and bean and chorizo starters were both under seasoned and bland. Mains were over cooked seafood. Never again!

Well what can I say, the service was excellent, the decor traditional and clean but... the food was disappointing. I had the worse steak in my life. Every dish was tasteless and not seasoned at all. Far from the donostian high standards on food. We had 2 main courses, a salad, an entrée and a bottle of wine (14€). We... More

Juanito Kojua is a classic Basque restaurant where the portions are huge, delicious and very good value and the place is filled with locals. The black bean stew with chorizo, black pudding, bacon and cabbage at only 10.5 Euros was a delicious and substantial starter but would have made a whole meal. The main courses of baked crab and hake... More

Small restaurant with very pleasant atmosphere meals were excellent and reasonably priced. Service excellent and cheerful. The pigs trotter stuffed with porcini mushrooms was particularly yummy and the garlic clams particularly nice.

Called in for a lunchtime meal in the oldest restaurant in San Sebastian. Was served by a lady who didn't speak very good English but we still managed to get what we wanted. A vast amount of food with a lovely glass of wine. If your into having Macdonald's when in Spain it probably isn't for you but if you... More

Bea, who took care of us, recommended enjoyable Basque food. Must orders: Hake fish throat with clams (lomo merluza con kokotxas y almejas), and when in season, fried Pimientos from Gernika (non-spicy)
