We lucked out and were there for the fresh water sardines. My Cuban girlfriend from Miami said it was the best Torrejas she ever had!

A small bar, it filled up continually. Clearly very popular with a regular clientele. They specialise in Anchovies and seafood. We were served by two very pleasant and friendly gentlemen, who immediately provided us with their English menu and gave helpful suggestions regarding what to order. The anchovies were prepared in many different ways, all good and interesting - one... More

We popped in here for a couple of quick bites. We enjoyed the traditional pintxos fare. There is a decent amount of seating as well.

My wife and I have visited this bar a couple of times this week. We are rapidly becoming addicted to anchovies. Antxoa jardinera is our favourite, delicious fresh flavour and made to order. Will return before we go home.

Made to order Pintxos that alone make the trip to San Sebastián worth it. I might just come back so I can eat here again and again. Perfection!

Famous for its anchovy-only pintxos, this place doesn't disappoint. They do a freshly prepared special that they make to order. Thin strips of fish with a micro-cube mix of onions and peppers on toasted bread. Exceptional.

I especially recommend the anchovy and sea urchin but all the "anchovy on breads" are to die for. Head up the street to Nestor for your second/meat coarse.

My wife and I don't normally eat anchovies In the US, but the anchovies you get in Spain are so fresh and delicious. Txeptetxa is the place to go for anchovy pintxos. They offer unique combinations of anchovies + toppings. The most popular are the spider crab + anchovy. We ordered spider crab, sea urchin, pepper relish, and piquillo pepper.... More

I am partial to anchovies so when I was told to try Bar Txepetxa I jumped at it. This is not your typical pintxos bar. Firstly it speclialises in anchovies...all sorts..even one with bluberries. Secondly most of the pintxos are freshly made. There is a two page menu (including in English) with the various anchovy pintxos. I couldn't try everything... More
