When you travel alone, it is not only about the quality of food, but also about how the people make you feel in that place. In Sa Platgeta both was perfect. Especially in Spain it is not common to go to a restauramnt alone, getting Paella for one person is almost impossible, By chance, during a walk on the beach... More

Probably my favourite restaurant experience on the island. Another cool place to visit when the sun goes down, you literally sit by the water's edge under olive trees. Great fish menu. After the meal the waiter will bring you a bottle of Hierbas, the local aniseed spirit, and you can help yourself to as much as you want. Wonderful.

We eat quite regularly at Sa Platgeta, about once a month when they're open, and always have a good experience there. It's just off the Eastern end of Mitjorn beach, protected from the sea breeze by a cluster of old junipers, with tables right in the dunes as well as on a covered terrace. Seafood prevails, with daily specials from... More

If you happen to be in Formentera, definitely make the time to try SA PLATGETA. Excellent food - fresh fish- great service, and lovely view! You also get Herbas (digestive liqueur) on the house!

I've been here for a dinner with friends, they located our table in the garden which was supposed to be the bar area. We had a fish dinner based on starters, fresh fish and paella. The food was great, but because the kitchen was going to close in half an hour they forced us to choose between 3 main dishes. The... More

Like many good restaurants in formentera, sa platgeta is not very easy to find, but one we got there, we were delighted: right by the sea, the terrace is built under what looks like a very old pine tree. Food was great too: We had some superb pulpo a la gallega and the paella was very nice as well. Prices... More

This is the perfect beach restaurant. The setting is sublime on a beautiful nearly empty beach. Sitting under vines we ate paella. In fact we went three times during our five day holiday! I have uploaded the photos of the three paellas - black with squid ink - mixed seafood - vermicelli and seafood. All totally and utterly stunning. The... More

We had a lovely walk along the Playa Migjorn, from Vogamari to this bar/restaurant, had a drink, the staff were great and although the menu looked good, local fish, lobster etc. we didn't eat.

We walked a lot to find this restaurant as it could be better indicated. We finally found it and had a great Time eating gambas a la plancha and mixed fried seafood. It was 42€. Would definitely recommend this place. Staff was nice and gave us for free the herb liquor which was delicious!
