Loved this place - arrived on a Saturday night - it was bustling and full - and greeted by el Jefe with enormous enthusiasm about all his fish. Good local wine by the glass and some quite excellent prawns in garlic. Very good value as...well. A good example of how atmosphere can make a meal perhaps as we've been staying at the Parador where the food is ambitious but the atmosphere in the dining room a bit like that of a morgue.More

Obviously this place specializes in fish but we had a meat dish and pizzas for a change. The meat baked in oven was good but not special. The pizzas were very tasty.

Friendly, helpful staff. Super atmosphere. Quirky setting. Gorgeous food so we ate there all week having had complimentary liqueurs during the week and bubbly after our final meal

One star is actually too much for the experience we had. Initially made welcome we were seated and gave our orders. The problem started when the young waiter literally threw my starter onto the table. He didn't even stop as he walked by and made...no attempt to place the starter in front of the person actually eating it. The starter was Gomeran cheese and it was pretty poor. Half a dozen slices of one style of cheese slapped on the plate with no dressing. Things got worse when the same ignorant clown came back with our paella. We seemed annoyed that the starter and bread plates were still on the table and just tried to push them out of the way with the paella plate. At that point I had to tell him to stop or the plates would have ended up in our laps if we hadn't moved them ourselves. The paella itself was one of the worst plates of food I have ever seen in a restaurant. The beef was completely inedible, the chicken was just scrag ends of bone with no meat and the mussels were shrivelled and dry. At that point we decided enough was enough and called the older waiter and told him how poor things were. He just shrugged. We paid for our wine and starter and left. Such a shame as our other food experiences on the island were excellent.More

Came for some food initially based on a recommendation from friends, however the place was packed and told it would be at least an hour before anything was available. So we initially went somewhere else for food, but was determined to come back. So came...back later in the night and came in for drinks. I can see why the place is so popular. The place is very pretty with pictures painted on the walls, and other art pieces dotted around the place. The table near us were just finishing their meal, and it did smell wonderful, so will definitely look to come for food if I come back to La Gomera... But I will try to make a reservation first!More

Myself and my partner shared the paella which was the best I’ve ever had. We enjoyed our meal so much that we came back to eat here again later in the holiday. The staff were friendly and the food was a great surprise, our second...meal was equally as good. Looking forward to returning on our next holiday visit!More

The decor is somewhat unsettling, but that's probably what makes it a different place. Our server wasn't the most pleasant person....but we feel everyone has a bad day. Enjoyed some fish soup, fresh tuna and I loved my tropical pizza. It's not the kinda pizza...you get the U.S or the U.K.... just enjoy the flavors. The owner left a bottle of honey rum and another anise flavor liquor for us to enjoy at the end of our meal... Overall, very enjoyable meal.More

It is impossible to make a worse pizza than this the one this restaurant offers. Not even pizza dough. Expensive for what they offer, service is ok I guess... But I can't believe how awful that pizza was. Not recommend at all.
