A great choice for anorexics, La Herreria serves pitifully small portions of pretty average food at prices that are higher than most restaurants in Puerto de la Cruz. There was nothing wrong with the food as such, but the portions were like starvation rations. I was told by the waitress that 'special potatoes' were included with my steak. I discovered... More

Very good food, friendly staff, nice place; nearly impossible to find a table if you didn't book it before

This was a lovely place; very good value. Food was typical Canarian and tasted very good. Chipirones (our starter for two) were tasty and fresh; tender, not rubbery like in some other places. My grilled rabbit was tasty and perfectly charred. My partner had an escalop which he liked. We had papas arrugadas as a side. Potatoes tasted fine, but... More

We were advised to search this little gem out by people in our hotel and we are so pleased that we did. The staff are super friendly and eager to help with the menu The food is tasty and not too big a portion, just enough. Drinks are reasonable and the ambience very relaxed

This place is worth the visit. They serve Finnish customers with fluent Finnish. We had chipirones as a starter (excellent), cerdo iberico and cordero lechal for mains with a bottle of very good Coronas tinto. Everything very tasty and affordable. Will come back. Restaurant is very popular and often full.

Although not in any of the main tourist streets, this small restaurant is well worth seeking out - and an easy walk from the harbour area. Excellent service; a good menu; an interesting selection of 'recommendations' (or 'specials' as we know it): a lovely ambience; fascinating decor; superb food; nice wines and especially good value bearing in mind all the... We had ten days in Puerto and ate here twice, nothing is too much trouble for this lovely family, the service and food are faultless - the restaurant itself has lots of interesting tools and trappings from the time when the building was an old forge - there are also many photographs, some of which show the family over the...
