We dropped by for a quick bite to eat, late at night. We sat at the bar and enjoyed some wine and tapas, as well as some specialities from the menu. All the food we tried was good, very fresh and tasty. There's also the option to sit and order from a full dinner menu. The place has a good... More

In Canadio you will find a lovely environment, with excellent service and very tasty food. I would suggest to try the Tartar and the red salsa mussels.

Canadio seems to be always packed with locals and tourists alike. Compared to most others restaurants/bars it has a bit more upmarket feel to it. Food is nearly always good but service can be a bit so so during very busy times.

I'd read about this restaurant in various blogs & guides so decided to book in advance. So glad I did as it was booked solid! We had to walk through the tapas area to get to the 'dining' restaurant, & it was full of locals (& some clever visitors) enjoying a glorious range of tapas from the bar. The prices... More

Went here several times during our 4 day visit to Santander. Excellent tapas, lovely red wine and it's busy all the time. Definitely go here if you are in this lovely place.

Very attractive interior, warm but not stuffy, very welcoming staff (esp. the gentleman with the cornrows - he was so sweet and helpful!!!). Food is simply amazing (I had steak tartare, which was a perfect blend of several tastes and textures - unlike anything I had before, and delicious. My friends had lamb shoulder and hake croquettes- loved them. We... More

First visit to Santander... nice to see more locals than tourists, maybe the city isn't very pretty, but places like Canadio are 'real' and local. Located in the square, it has a long pincho bar down the right side, with sitting and standing tables on the left. We were there on a Saturday around 10pm, it was already crowded. The... More
