We were looking for luck at 2pm on a Saturday. Kumera offered a good "menú del día" for €19.9 euro that was 2 courses + dessert or coffee. We did have to wait for about 20 minutes before our turn for a table, but the waiters kept us informed of our place in the queue, and made sure that we... More

We had originally hoped to eat outside but all of the tables closed by were full so we opted for Kumera. They had a menu del dia (which is a great way to eat in Spain). I had the chick-pea and gambas for my first plate. My boyfriend had the cod salad. My chickpea dish was excellent but only had... More

The Kumera is an excellent choice for lunch or dinner when in Toledo. Their dishes are very good, delicately served, and with an excellent quantity of food !!! what normally would be a "tapa" is almost served as a "portion" ( racion ) so you can eat very well, very good quality, and also very good quantity .... if weather... Kumera has an ambitious set menu. Our party of four decided to try all the available plates to share. The mushroom soup was amongst the best we have ever had, on par with a long remember, nearly legendary, cream of mushroom soup tasted high in the mountains in an isolated German village. The other appetizers varied in quality. The star... More

I visited this restaurant on a very hot day at the start of September. I stumbled across it, in need of a cold drink. I was tempted in by two fellow Aussies, who were also looking to escape the heat, for a beer with a small complimentary toast to go with it. We decided to eat lunch here as it... More

Visited a few days ago on a trip to Toledo from Madrid and unfortunately it was really bad. The service was ok but the food was inedible - we had to send the main courses back and they were removed from the bill. I ordered cod which was tasteless and a horrible texture (clearly cooked from frozen but badly) and... More

If you are ready to spend a reasonable amount of money for a very good meal, Kumera is the place. Food was excellent. Service was good. Suckling pig dish is to die for. Tapas area up stair is lively and inviting if you understand Spanish dinning out culture. Wil definite visit this place again.

Presentation of the food, both in serving behavior and in plate layout, are haute cuisine, and so are the prices, but this is a place to avoid all the same. Everything on my plate(s) and the rest of the company tasted bland. Like coming out of a dish washer.I had lamb that tasted like canned tuna. The regional specialty rabo... More

After a trip to Madrid and Seville we went to Kumera in Toledo for our last night, based on a good review in The Guardian. Unfortunately the service was not friendly or interested in us, and the food was simply horrific. Only the Jamom Iberico was good, the other 6 dishes that we ordered, were all a complete disappointment. The... More
