We went here based on TA reviews. The food was very good we asked for a selection of 3 starters but ended up with 3 full starters. The starters are large portions the standout dish was the courgette mouse. Tempura asparagus was also very good...and eggs with mushrooms fine. My wife had the cod a la gallega and I had the cod Mencia (with cheese). We both felt the cod a la Gallego was extremely good. We had no room for desserts. The owner was very helpful.More

A traditional and relaxed restaurant situated a safe distance from the more touristed parts of the city. The speciality is bacalao (salted cod), though the menu includes other options. I chose green asparagus tempura followed by bacalao in a mushroom & truffle sauce. The quality...was very good, and the service friendly. Well worth a try.More

We came late in the evening and although we were the only quests at that time and the kitchen was about to close, the owner was very welcoming. We had 5 delicious dishes and concluded that is was the best tapas we had had so...far during our vaccation in Spain.More

The salad with gulas was delicious. Bacalao was as good as I've had anywhere. Even better was the service- very personable and they were so accommodating with our toddler.

My fiancé and I were visiting my family in Salamanca and one of my best friends recommended this place to us for a romantic dinner. We were impressed by the delicacies this restaurant offers in terms of food and wine. We especially enjoyed the boletus...croquettes, the cod and the octopus. In addition, the servers were attentive at all times and the ambience was perfect to relax while enjoying delicious food.More

I had great meals in Salamanca from Bodega Cuzco to 21 Hojas, etc. They recommended this place but what a disappointment it was. If you are a foreigner, don’t come. Unless, today was the owner’s worst day ever. The service was straight up awful. I...actually witness him fighting with a table next to us over a wine bottle that was ordered and the table didn’t like. It was quite unbelievable when their most expensive white is €22. It really was a shame. Don’t come!More

A solid, traditional restaurant specializing in bacalao. We had bacalao in two different versions, a la gallega and a la donosterra, I particularly liked the second. The desserts were ok, not great. A bottle of good Arzuaga crianza 2014, bill at 77 euros (very decent)....Recommendable. (A quite disagreeable thing was the tobacco smoke smell coming from the kitchen and emanating from the owner).More

Mr Vicente (the owner) took us into the restaurant with great attention and showed us the food in some pictures to ensure we know we would take. Their speciality is the cod fish, so we took it and we appreciated every bite of our plate!...The desert was also great so, the entire lunch was fantastic!More

A very nice restaurant set somewhat off the beaten path, i. e., not on the main plaza but a few blocks away. Opened at 8:30 pm. The manager was very helpful explaining the dishes. Clearly cod (bacalao) is their specialty (not for me, though), so...we had an eggplant apetizer, really good, and pork loin. A good bottle of wine, crowned by a lovely device to air the wine (we bought one). We tried to order a simple salad, not on the menu, but that wasn't possible... so stick to the menu.More
