Nice place to eat while in Barcelona. Staff friendly, prices ok. Paella tapa Madre style is really good and very big, recommended for 2 persons. Tapas good taste.

We visited this corner restaurant and we loved the fact that it looked chic and romantic. Their specialty paella, is packed with seafood, the squid was especially tender. Would have loved to come here again if we weren't pushed for time.

We had a nice meal of tapas here. Everything tasty and well cooked. Service fine - quite friendly. Reasonable prices. Wouldn't rush to go back, but happy with my meal.

Stopped on our way to Sagrada Familia. The waitress barely uttered a work to us the whole time we were there, same for the rest of the staff. However, what the restaurant lacked in service, it made up for in the quality of the food. Very good, generous portions, we were really surprised. We probably wouldn't stop there again but... More

From the lovely welcome to consistently great service and delicious food, we would highly recommend this great restaurant. The staff are very friendly and were able to make suggestions for food and drinks to suit us all, our children were made to feel especially welcome even though the rest of the restaurant was exclusively adult. The Catalan dishes are particularly... More

We dropped in for a glass of Cava which turned out to be the best we had while in Barcelona. Returned to beat several times - staff were very friendly and welcoming, food very good. We especially liked the salt cod salad (generous portion), the local deep fried little green peppers, the grilled vegetables and the fried artichokes. We will... More

Dropped in for lunch here after visiting La Sagrada Famila. Shared 3 tapas; tuna salad, fried calamari & croquettes. The croquettes were the only ones we enjoyed. The tuna salad came with a couple of small pieces of bread, but should have had more because you couldnt eat it by itself. The calamari looked nice, but was actually quite bland,... More

From the US and staying near by. Wasn't disappointed at all! Food was excellent and the wine was divine. Aman was friendly kind and funny. Gave excellent recommendations. Have the lobster paella and was NOT disappointed. I've eaten paella here several times before and this was by far the best. Happy crew and didn't mind that I didn't speak Spanish.... More

Unfortunately they did not serve us the typical tapas, like jamon, tortilla, gambas, patatas bravas, ... we got serves a sort of tuna salad with a lot of mayonnaise, vegetables in a lot of mayonaise, somethin (meat?) In... mayonnaise. Also some small sausages (which were good), croquettes and a... More

Tapas ordinary with calamari just batter and no substance. Main dish cold and terrible should have sent it back. Waitress made the mistake of asking about the meal. We explained that the main meal was so so and her smiling persona totally changed. We were outcasts from this point. We are accustomed to good tapas and Spanish good and this... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
