Delicious fried artichokes with sea salt, came home on a mission to recreate them. I believe they are seasonal. Lively and busy atmosphere in the market, maybe grab these and move on eating at other stands. Sangria is nothing to write home about.

Anyone recommending this place will usually mention the fried eggs and baby squid house speciality. That dish is absolutely great and highly recommended. However do try their other dishes too. In particular, I found the oxtail risotto absolutely divine.

Just stand behind someone and stalk anyone who looks like they're about to leave, then grab their seat. We ate here early in our trip and also saved it as our last meal - it was so good! You HAVE to try the seafood platter!...More

El Quim is among the well known eateries within the Boqueria market. In general the food here is good, however their house speciality (something I looked forward to from all the hype on the Internet) - the baby squid with fried eggs - did not...More

The waiting was rather unpleasant as there are many tourists who are rather aggressive with the seat snatching. After managing to grab a seat, you still have to deal with the aggressive stares of other tourists breathing heavily and close to your back as they...More

El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this
gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an
excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic
spots in the entire city. A sense of humble
authenticity protrudes from the many independent
record stores, second hand shops, and student bars
that seem to light up the streets day and night. The
rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day
