Whilst in Barcelona we both wanted an authentic Chinese restaurant. After reading reviews of areas we were looking for a restaurant slightly out of the main area (tourist trap). As we were staying in the Eixample area and after a quick search on the internet we came across this Chinese and how glad we were that we tried it. Family... More

I'm always a bit leery of Chinese food having had too much of the typical take-out mush. But Son Hao is notches above the category. We ate the sweet and sour octupus, the famous pork dish and the vegetables as well as dumplings and the quality and flavor are superb. Taiwan is generally known as home of some of the... More

This has becoming a favorite. It's very high level of service and cosy place with a lot of laughs. I love the pork and fried rice. The family that runs the show are fantastic. Genuinely good in ever level.

If i had to point our the best thing, that was the service. The owner was very friendly and engaging and had a special talent to suggest the best dishes in the menu. Furthermore, the food was very good, though the amounts were not bid for the price. I completely suggest the experience, next time i come to Barcelona i... More

Visited this restaurant on the last night of our holiday. So funny! The family who run this are lovely people from Taiwan. Food was really good and we finished the meal off with some Taiwanese tea. They even showed us how to eat with a small bowl and chopsticks like the Chinese do. Lol!! What a laugh!! We're not very... More

We visited San Hoa restaurant yesterday and the meal and service we received was second to none. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone trying the food here. The owner was very convivial and helpful. Just outside the hubbub of La Rambla it was a nice change

Very convivial. I often eat duck at restos, and I am usually disappointed. Their sweet chilli fied duck was great (not as fatty as some). Boss very attentive, and ponied ups a v nice Torreos rosado. Very happy last meal on this trip, after lots of disappointments

A fantastic restaurant with fantastic food, service and hospitality. The owner even gave away fruits to my kids to take home as an act of appreciation for our first visit to their restaurant. Great prices and great taste. Nothing to find fault at all. Only wish there are more restaurants of this kind that makes us want to go over... More

This is a great experience. The food is simply delicious, the surroundings spotlessly clean and Moto and his family provide a warm sincere welcome to you when you arrive and throughout your meal. What can I say about Moto,he's just a one off.We were there twice out of our four days in Barcelona. However there is something missing and I can't put my... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
