We wandered to Barceloneta after visiting La Sagrada Familia earlier in the day. Trying to make the most of our 2 day rail pass. Seeing the large yachts we were drawn like moths to a light to the several restaurants abuting the marina. Les Tapes...More

The used to be a stunning restaurant it sits on the edge of the marina and is great for people watching if you sit at a terrace table, the food is still great although it is very pricy, but the killer is the service, note...More

This is a perfectly decent restaurant in the port, the pricing is Ok (Muga blanco at €25), the service friendly and efficient. You will not have the best meal of your life here but nor will it be the worst. To describe it as ordinary...More

After a very long walk we came down onto the marina and sat down for two very well-deserved premium sangrias. The views were nice, the ambience relaxing and the food quite good. Not cheap but overall reasonable value and we had no issues with the...More

About the best bar-front location, friendly helpful staff. You can eat much more expensively next door (same owner) or tapas here. V.large (but good) G&Ts and pretty good tapas (the ones we tried at least). The only one (of six) to avoid is the sardines...More

Tapas cost 7/8 eur each and the restraunt has pretty good choice of different tapas. Though, the portions a bit small as for this price. We ordered 5 tapas to share between two ladies and it was enough as for our taste but maybe one...More

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in

With amazing views of the Port Vell Marina, Cal Pinxo is decorated to be carefully informal in all the soft blues and aquas of the sea and sky. The restaurant has broad windows and a terrace directly looking out onto the Mediterranean. After postres, you can take a stroll on the marina or in the Barceloneta. The menu is classic Catalan with special emphasis on things that swim. Start with a plate of fresh clams then do not miss their paella, then maybe some creme catalana or egg flan. Service is professional and quick, and there's a children's menu, too.
