A kind of hidden place, with a nice interior garden. We didn't know they didn't serve any alcohol so thats a note to take :) Otherwise, very chill place and good bocadillos for little money.

I've been living in Gràcia for almost 10 years and I must say that Ikastola is my favourite place to hang out. Eventhough it looks like any bar in Gràcia (hipster and pseudobohemial), the inner terrace is one of the hidden tresures of the district. Beer is expensive, but the sandwiches are original and good. A quiet spot in a... More

Its is situated near the intersection of perla and verdi streets in Gracia. Somehow hidden, it serves really nice sandwiches. Moreover, very economic. You will not find many tourists here (which is nice ;)) as it is famous among the locals. Recently, my friend told me Ikastola is school in Basque. So, the owner is from Basque in Spain (not... We went to this place last year, so when we knew that we would be back in Barcelona, I could not stop looking for this place because is a must-go-back. The sandwiches are rich and really well served! Try to go a little later and get a table outside, but not to late: the patio closes at 10:30pm.

I have had dinner here several times and it's always been great. Their bocatas are more than enough to fulfill your need for food and the combinations of flavours they create are just amazing. I can't decide which bocata I prefer, they're all incredible. Besides, they are very reasonably priced. Go check it out and you won't be disappointed.

We got here at noon on a Sunday to meet a group to speak English. I am from Riverside California USA so I went to meet locals. They had Pancakes which were very good. We stayed so long we had a late lunch too. I ordered the sandwich with olive spread, feta cheese, tomato & basil. It was on a... More

Absolutely worthwhile! The bread in the "bocadillos" are made of different types of cereal which gives them an interesting touch of flavour. In addition, they stuffed them with simple ingredients such as ham, cheese and bacon but mix them with other elements such as pesto sauce, which makes them outstrip from the others. We also tryed the guacamole thet I... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
