We had really tasty lunch here in earty March. Service was very nice and professional. Three courses Menu del Dia around 14€ incl. drinks and bread and the food was just good, highly recommend this restaurant! There is a large patio also for summer guests with nice views and small historical fountain. Dont miss this one if hanging around Mountjuic!

I have never had as bad service as I had in this place. Can't recommend to anyone. The location was nice though.

Stumbled across this restaurant after leaving the Miro museum and the courtyard is beautiful with stunning views of the city. The food was very good especially the vegetables and the cabbage and potatoes. Sitting outside in December, was the additional treat.

Came for tapas. Food was ok but the courtyard was a must see. Coffee, pa de Tom at, olives, mushroom croquettes, paralysis Barbara.

Overdue for lunch, and passing through the gardens as we attempted to descend the mountain, we stopped as we needed the loo, and a drink. We decided to try the set lunch menu which was 3 courses plus beer, wine or water @ 16 euro each. Categorically recommend. Every course was delicious. I'm afraid we ate the desserts, mango mousse... We found this between the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya and the Fundacio Joan Miro. Lovely ambiance, friendly staff and good food and wine.

Such a lovely spot for lunch on a very secluded terrace. Eaten lunch here twice, food simple, excellent and good value for Menú del día. Staff can be a bit brusk but this is more a locals restaurant. The location is a little difficult to find up steps tucked away on Mont Juic, near Teatre Grek.

Near the Laribal garden, the restaurant is nicely located in the nature with a wonderful terrace. The service was slow but friendly. The food was quite good but the promised French fries never appeared! Be careful, it is overpriced because you have to pay for the service on the terrace and the bread quite hard...

After visiting the castle on Montjuic we hadn't realised there was no where to eat or drink and after an extremely hot and fractious 1 hour hike down the hillside, desperate to find a cafe or eating place we found ourselves following a signpost towards Jardins de Laribal. At this point I would have settled for a Macdonalds.....However we discovered... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
