Lovely, accommodating staff - especially the man who greeted us outside the restaurant. Lovely chicken paella (although a bit greasy), didn't feel rushed or under pressure. Would recommend!

The staff dosen't take care at all guest's problems, price too expensive for the food's quality and the general service! I've never will come back in Toc de Mar!

Decent touristic paella place in Barceloneta, very kind service and correct food. On Saturday night they have a simple but enjoyable flamenco show.

Nice place near the Port. Nice paella and creme brûlé. A lot of food for a cheap price. I enjoyed my evening there

We enjoyed Saturday lunch, a reasonably priced menu del dia. The waiter suggested we only take one menu and one dish a la carte, this was a good suggestion we did not follow. Portions for the menu del dia were huge. The mixed salad had the greenest tomatoes we have ever seen, oddly enough under ripe tomatoes seem key to... More

Don't get me wrong, some of the dishes were okay. The mussels Marinara was really nice. The ham we had was blah. Paella was okay. Hoping that it's way better at other places. Took ages for that to come out. Service was lacking. We had only sat down, given the menus and not even a minute later someone was there... More

This restaurant sits along a huge, broad walkway full of tourist most of the time, and like most other restaurants there, someone out front tries to lure people in to eat. Don't go! LOL. Maybe on another day, or maybe some different dishes, but the things we ordered were not good. One friend had bacon and mushroom pizza, and we... More

The restaurant is situated close to the beach in a 400 metre run of restaurants, offering cuisine from around the world. We opted for Spanish - a fried selection of seafood Squid, prawns, and cod - all breaded and fried - and pretty greasy. 40 Euros for this dish was a bit overpriced but it was ok to soak up... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
