An excellent selection of tapas - some of them you'll not meet in other places. Seafood of extra quality.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel, just a short walk away. We were not disappointed. Depending on where you sit, you can either order from the menu, help yourself to tapas, or both. We just took in the tapas while sitting outside. They have an selection of options, and you're free to help yourself to as much... More

Sit down, order a drink, and get a plate. Wander around the bar area and pick what you want to try. Wide selection of foods. Good quality. Each tapa has a toothpick in it. Save the toothpicks. At the end of your meal, the staff counts the toothpicks and figures your bill. Each "toothpick" was $2.50 euros. We each had... More

Wooooowwww!! We stumbled into this restaurant after a fun night out in the El Born neighborhood and WHAT. A. GEM. The tapas are exceptional, the service is friendly and accommodating. You can choose a sandwich yourself or servers walk around with trays to take from. We had a gluten free tray made for us with some incredible and delicious options.... More

It is a nice place on a little square. Perfect tapas to choose, good wine, they are walking around with new tapas etc.. Very nice place to... More

You should go there for the grilled matured beef. Extremely nice. We ate in the restaurant, but in the bar they also served very nice looking tapas.

This stuff is so good, why don't they do this everywhere? More delicious cold and hot tapas. Delicious wine. Great location. Skip the tables....stand up.

Don't come here if you are an American looking for a tender, Grain fed, filet, with Sinatra in the background. But if you really like beef, try it the Spanish way: on the bone, wood grilled, piece big enough to share but be sure it's not over-cooked. Max med-rare. You WILL need a knife: there WILL be fat. But it... More

Sagardi is a charming place in the middle of the gothic neighborhood, tapas are incredible and cheap, and you can have the canitas also! It really worth it! I strongly recommend !

A restaurant concept based on the traditional Basque taverns, spaces to share the country’s best ciders and wines with the best quality Basque cuisine. A concept composed of two options: a pintxos bar with more than 80 varieties, and the grill restaurant with meats and grilled fish as the main attraction.

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
