I had pleasure to eat dinner at this restaurant. At first I was served with shrimp carpaccio that was good, but not in any way exceptional. The second dish was in the contrary definitely the most original and maybe one of the best dishes I've ever eaten - it was mushrooms with raw mackerel and duck. The composition turned out... More

Been there few days ago to have a glass of wine. We tried several local and international etiquettes. The wine list is really extensive and everything is by glass. The interior is great and the atmosphere feels just right. They also have a custom tablet application so you can explore a bit by yourself before ordering. We also had some... More

We opted for the EUR 65 tasting menu and had the sommelier help us with the wine pairing. Service was friendly and impeccable. Delightful experience that will unequivocally conquer your taste buds. Great ambiance as well, conducive to great conversations and great memories. Highly recommendable.

I always do significant research on where to eat when I travel. I had an email exchange with the restaurant as our original plan was to visit the wine bar - I was told no food there although we actually saw food - tapas - being served. The restaurant itself was attractive - but the menu was odd apparently in... More

I went for a relaxed business dinner. Ordered many fish dishes in order to much our first bottle of white wine recommended by the sommelier, propably because the wine belonged to a friend of his. For my taste it was good for cooking only.. Most of the raw dishes had a lot of coliander which i hate. The rest were... More

Monvinic is a peculiar place to either experience their exhaustive wine list accompanied by a variety of succulent tapas (small plates for sharing) or you might want to sit in their main dining room. You won't go wrong with either, but don't leave without trying their COD Fritter-- to die for. Make reservations if you want to sit for dinner,... More

Monvinic is a wine bar and restaurant and in that order. The place is comfortable and artistically designed. Very good selection of wines and narrow selections of dishes but currently undergoing a redesign of the menu so should go back in the next few months to try out the new additions

Wine list was great...service was sub par..no explanation of dishes as they were served. When we spoke to the manager, she and the chef were aware that we did not eat food sereved but neither came to our table to inquire. They had no problem with us spending over 400e on wine but cared less about service and experience. All that being... More

This is the most select wine place. Great ambiance, specially in the evening. The presentation and variety of the wines is almost unlimited.

Description
Monvinic has been founded with the aim of being an international benchmark for the dissemination of wine culture. A pioneering space, created by Sergi Ferrer-Salat, which has opened wide its doors to present an unrivalled selection of wines from all over the world. And, what's more, to explore the how and the why of each bottle. At a time when the number of wine enthusiasts, all keen to appreciate and to learn, is growing apace, Monvinic opens in the city of Barcelona to promote and to encourage this passion. And to do so in a way that is rigorous and respectful, yet at the same time providing an atmosphere that is natural, uninhibited, joyous and outgoing.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
