We found this restaurant by accident. We are supposed to go to Can Vilaró but it was closed. We looked for a nearby restaurant and we are glad to found Caramba on Trip Advisor. It is a bit out of the way of the Tourist Area but it will be a worthwhile visit. We found the aubergine and goat cheese,... More

Small delightful restaurant serving Spanish selections. Located in Arab section of Barcelona district El Ravel. Modern open space and very friendly staff. Simple dinner selections, tastefully prepared. Excellent paella and wonderful fresh salads. Seemed very child friendly and tolerant.

Slightly away from the main tourist area so you actually get good food. The owners aren't money grabbers either as when we ordered they actually told us we'd got too much and suggested we take off a few dishes. Still ordered plenty and we're all full of alcohol and food on a reasonable price. Well worth the visit and definitely... More

Visited recently with my family. Delicious tapas and lovely service from a friendly waitress. I would definitely recommend! Our favourite dishes were the aubergine and goats cheese, the patatas bravas and the ham croquettes. The mojito was also realy tasty!

We had there extremely good tapas for a very decent price. I really appreciated that they also provided some vegetarian tapas (delicious eggplants), croquettes (Iberian ham or mushroom!), Nomnomnomnom.... And with cocktails! We will probably go there again just to try out the rest of the tapas!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Caramba. The patatas bravas sensi, croquettes and goat cheese salad were outstanding. Service was friendly and helpful. It is off the beaten path from the very touristy area around Place Reial, but a relatively short walk. Great prices--well worth the trip.

I can't say enough good things about Caramba. My boyfriend and I both agreed that it was the best meal we had while visiting Barcelona. The staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. We never asked for a single thing. The tapas are mouth watering along with the paellas and white sangria. I will definitely return to this restaurant when... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
