Concierge at hotel recommended for lunch, and we were thrilled. Very close to Museum, and charming location/space. Owner extremely friendly and accommodating - both to a regular flow of locals and to us and other tourists. Food was well beyond our expectations, and we tried a lot of small tapas. Would definitely recommend and return.

Had a great meal! Enjoyed it very much. I was solo and sat at the bar. I recommend making reservation. The staff would try and accommodate people but very shortly there was a line out the door. Make a reservation and enjoy!

Here you meet locals and warm up for a night out on town (El born). Great variety of bigger food dishes and smaller tapas. Great and relaxed atmosphere where elderly and young meet to enjoy a great meal and a positive evening. Good cortado and brandy

Typical local Bar to visit. Great selection of tapas. Very tasteful with a great fusion touch. Always full and enjoy the walk around.

Nice esperience in the very heart of Barcelona. Here you can find some of the best tapas I've ever tried in the city. Recommended

It was a nice experience. The bar seems very popular, so it's worth making a reservation. Portions are 'tapas' size, all very tasty. Staff is friendly, overall a very nice experience.

we visited the place for an early dinner. we were 4 people and when the waiter saw that we could not decide what to order and that we were not Spanish he asked us whether we would like him to suggest us dishes. We decided to listen to him and we got the dishes/tapas he suggested. everything was really nice... More

The tapas at this bodega are very different but delicious. A lot of seafood choices. My favorite was the suckling pig tacos. Delicious!!!

Delicious food! Loved the oxtail & fois gras - almost ordered another. Enjoyed the Penedes Bar del Pal white wine! Great location inside the Gothic Quarter.

We ordered as few food items off the menu based on the suggestions from the waiter and it ended up extremely overpriced. Luckily we didn't order more because the service was very slow. Disappointed, this ruined our night.

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
