My husband and I were referred by a local to this place for dinner as it was his favourite tapas restaurant. Although the food was pretty good (oxtail and the mushrooms and wasabi especially) we felt like we were ignored on a table at the...More

My husband and I were referred to Bar Del Pla by a local and the restaurant did not disappoint! Must try the mushroom and wasabi, octopus, pork belly and squid. Make sure to get reservations. We called the morning of and were able to get...More

Got ignored at end of bar. Very poor service, it felt like they were doing us a favour. Had to keep asking for bottled water and ice which we never got. Quick lunch took two hours...

At Bar del Pla you get really great tapas. Not only the standard tapas but really interesting combinations like foi gras and ox tail. Authentic interiors, nice service. Great for meeting friends, they have bigger tables in the back. We enjoyed the evening there a...More

This unassuming bar has some of the best Tapas to be found anywhere. It is located on a small pedestrian side street, a hidden gem. The “Grilled Oxtail with Fois Gras” is other worldly. The service is super friendly but you need to accept that...More

The restaurant itself is very unassuming, the staff are chilled and seem to know a lot of people in there. The tapas though is the highlight, some of the best that we had (and we had some really good tapas). Would definitely recommend to everyone,...More

We loved this place! The atmosphere was inviting and relaxed, which is what two tired newlyweds needed just a few hours after landing in Barcelona for our honeymoon. The red wine was delicious, and we loved our first “very traditional” taste of Spanish tapas, croquettas...More

This is a very informal restaurant, with some of the best tapas we found in Barcelona. Highly recommended.

Nice lunch menu and English speakers take good care of you. Try the Tomato and Meat Salad - a real taste treat. Great location.

Ok - so we're brits and we like to eat early like children. No need however to be ignored for the first ten minutes. Just checking my phone for directions to Lolita as an emergency compromise when we were blessed enough to be offered a...More

El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants

I'd recommend it especially if you want a table or decent bar seats. We turned up without but we're very early so managed to find 2 unreserved bar stools.
