Booked in advance, set menu, paid 50% upfront 24 hours before the meal. Tapas great, starter OK, main course of paella absolutely awful, it was so salty it was inedible, none of the party took an extra helping, most people just picked out the prawns and mussels, there didn't appear to be any other seafood. Staff were lovely and most... More

We started with drinks and the view of the sea. It was early in the evening so the restaurant was almost empty. We decided to have dinner after reviewing the menu. We both had the fideua which was pretty good although we had better at a little place in Mura. The gazpacho and tapas were also good, as was my... More

We tried this restaurant based on the good ratings here at Tripadvisor and were not disappointed! We got really good and fresh food at a nice location at the sea close to the hotel W. We stayed there in the late afternoon (at about 18:00) which is not a usual time for lunch or dinner, but on the bright side... More

We were a group of 16 friends in Barcelona first days of may, (2013)three days, so three restaurants for the evening. We booked in 4gats. Then caracoles, and finally viblia. The first two were perfect. The viblia asked for a deposit of more than half and the final amount three days before our booking date. I (more or less responsible... More

We stayed at the W hotel Barcelona & it was wonderful! From the moment you walk into the lobby you feel in a 5 star hotel with excellent polite service. We had a fabulous room with a sea & city view which was indeed fabulous!

I travel to Barcelona a few times a year and always pencil in a lunch/dinner at La Viblia at least once on each trip. The location on the beach edge offers great sea views, without the large number of crowds wondering past, which makes for a lovely intimate and relaxed atmosphere. The large terrace is perfect even in winter which... More

we selected La Viblia for a business dinner and were welcomed with a glass of Cava. After receiving the 5th plate of starters we wondered how many will follow. Great Meal, Great Place, prices are at the upper end but included the drinks in our case. The menu we booked offered a choose of different meals to choose

Our experience(twice over the course of a weekend) was that the ervice and most importantly the food was excellent. My nay comment is that some websites state that this restaurant is closed Sunday evening and Mondays. IT IS NOT! Go and spend Eur10-20 on a really good bottle of wine ad some great tapas. I must admit, the rice was... More

As I am living in Barcelona I've been eating several time in la Viblia and I must say it is one of the best restaurant I know in this city. First, the location is absolutely perfect. Right in front of the see, in a very quiet corner. You can peacefully enjoy the view while drinking a good glass of cava.... More

Description
A superb place whose gastronomy is inspired by the mix of cuisines, renewed Mediterranean cuisine with an extensive wine list and the new trends of fashion and art. With a wonderful terrace in front of the Mediterranean sea to enjoy all your meals. Try the rice specialties (the lobster one!!) and suggestions of the chef in one of their sofas of the terrace while you're sunbathing with the sea brezze. They also have a spectacular daylight showroom for different events as product presentations, big meetings for companies and friends, private parties, weddings, incentives...

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
