There are, as already pointed out by another reviewer, two restaurants of this name. The one we had lunch twice is the one in the little quiet side street. A menu 3 courses with wine for something like 13€, not bad. Good atmosphere with a fair amount of locals. First time a very friendly young man served us, second time... More

Absolute rip off and scam. Firstly waiters are very pushy and in your face in trying to get you to get a table. There isnt really a drinks menu, they just list off afew drinks available , which dont have a price and at the end you get charged top dollar, we paid around 13 euros each sangria. Waiter also... The food was tasteless and terrible. We complaint in a very polite way, but the reaction from the waiter made it even worse. He said to look around and asked us if any other customers looked dissatisfied. Dont go there, and if you do, dont order the entrécote. Terrible food and service!

We ate here because it was close to our hotel. The food was good; each main item was delicious. The sides were nothing special. By this I mean the goat cheese in the goat cheese salad was so good - just the right amount of smokiness, firm but creamy at the same time - but on a bed of very... More

This is the kind of Catalonian food we like. No fancy stuff but the old fashioned home cooking style. So if you want duck, rabbit, paella or Iberian ham this is a good place to visit. All four of us were very please with all the dishes we had. Starter, main and desert. And the best of all, the bill... More

Just a short walk from the hotel as well as a substantial a la carte menu they offered a three course evening meal for 17-50 euros plus half a bottle of very acceptable wine for one euro and a free bottle of water. Good meal and excellent value

Awful place, stopped for a quick drink. No drink menu available but food menu seemed affordable, server advised only large beers available. Figured how much can it be for a couple of drinks? 25 euro for a beer and a glass of sangria. Trap! Avoid.

Good service, good food. A good place for a lunch in a pleasant restaurant, with skilled employees eager to provide good service.

I like to give an honest review but I cannot think of anything good about this establishment that calls itself a restaurant. It did look well situated at the beginning of Las Ramblas near Columbus Statue. It looked similar to other eating places we had visited in Barcelona and we had no reason to suspect it was dodgy. I felt... More

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
