The restaurant came recommended and when we entered it looked so nice. However the service immediately was average and lacked a single smile. The first course i had lentils and foie gras. The lentils were nice but barely warm and then the fois gras was still cold inside. I should have sent it back. Then i had cod. Which had... More

This meal was the highlight of our visit to Barcelona. The food, the ambiance, the service were excellent. Every dish during our lunch was a unique taste experience. Very contemporary sensibility in the kitchen with a big emphasis on bringing out the flavors of the food. Truly memorable.

Visited SantaGula for lunch whilst in Barcelona. What a great little restaurant, nice decor, great food and friendly service. Now we live in Barcelona, we'll definitely be back.

Since I work a few blocks away it has become one of my favorite places in Barcelona for a slightly more market cuisine. Fresh, local, catalan + some variety of dishes all of which have an air of sophistication and yet still simple. It's a great contrast in senses. Oh of my favorite dishes is their tataki, ceviche and ravioles... More

We visited this restaurant based on the trip advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. ( we returned during our 5 night trip we liked it so much) The restaurant is very small, about 10tables only and so I would recommend booking. Our hotel booked for us and every table was taken on both nights we visited. The food was... More

Loved this small neighborhood restaurant (need a good map to find). It was very busy but not overly noisy so we could have a conversation. Food was delicious; I guess I would describe as farm to table with fusion influenced tapas. I can speak Spanish but my husband can't, but this didn't matter because they were very willing to describe... More

Local place and really good. We didn't make a reservation and had to wait about 30 minutes. It well worth it. Good local wine and really good food. Price was very reasonable.

PRO's: An excellent recommendation by our hotel's manager. This is a 14 table, neighborhood restaurant that was packed by locals on a Sunday holiday. Group of four had selections from tasting menu--a)zucchini carpaccio, goat cheese, cashews with mint b) suckling pig c) foie gras d) tuna in tempura with mango, sesame & avocado. All were good, tasty & fabulous. Our... More

A family of four had a really, really good meal, (tapas followed by desserts) with soft drinks for 115EUR. An excellent recommendation by our Tapas Cooking Class hosts. Highlights for us were the lamb and the Bacalao. Desserts were good.

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
