Very friendly service and nice surprise selection of tapas. Cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Looked like we were the only tourists on a Friday night.

Ok, so you're going to want to have supple knees since at least one of your part will be sitting on a stool, but regardless do make time to visit La Castanya. The food is really first rate and the atmosphere has a great retro-industrial feel. Particularly execellent were the Osso Buco croquettes (who knew that could be a thing?)... More

this place is just exceptional. The Tapas are just awesome, the crew is very friendly and their recommendations are on point. This place could easily double the price and would still offer great taste for a fair price. Big recommendation and a great thank you to the whole team!

This was a super experience. The best tapas of Barcelona and super friendly staff. We had to wait because this is a popular place.

The tapas was great, there was a huge variety to choose from. The service was quick, but not overbearing like you see in some places. The atmosphere was very relaxed - we went right as they opened, it wasn't packed yet, and we were able to talk or just sit back and listen to the music as we ate.

My parents and I were visiting Barcelona for the first time, and we wanted to get tapas at a bar a little bit more off the immediate beaten path of Las Ramblas when we stumbled upon La Castanya. The bar's location near Las Ramblas makes it a great spot to grab a bite if you're touring the area. Our favorite... More
