Awful with capital A. The refuse to warm up a sandwich as they say it slows down the service even though it needs the same time as making the coffee to go with it. On top half of the staff having coffee in the middle of the place playing with their phones. Maybe that slows it down then?!

Spain is not renown by the service of its restaurants. Though Tartine Cafe owns this bed reputation. Lazy waiter, left overs around all the tables and waitresses with flowing long hairs serving food and coffee didn't pass unnoticed. I was just passing by and grabbed a coffee, luckily without any hair inside. Were you guys lucky as well? 🚫Definitely not... More

Good to grab a quick bite in the morning before heading out for the day. Prices are in line with other eateries. Nice outdoor seating area. We had coffee, croissants, and yogurt.

I go to this cafe every day... They have a set menu (coffee and sandwich) for 2,85Eur. The service is super fast and even if I go there "zombie walking" for a coffee, they know what I want... There's a nice environment and good music playing... The place to go if you work around there, fast and value for money... More

This cafe was about 2 blocks from our hotel. We went with my wife because of the good reviews. Went there around 10 am and there were only 2 people in line. Ordered orange juice, couple of capuccinos, scrambled eggs with bacon and a ham/cheese sandwich (for both of us). Everything we ordered was as good as we expected. We... More

Food always fresh and very reasonably priced. The staff really friendly (even to those not speaking the language :) Very cosy inside and outside and usually full of local people.

We didn't want a heavy breakfast at our hotel up the road so we saw this little coffee bar and food place. They served more-ish chocolate croissants and they had nice looking salads and wraps. I noticed a good selection of teas too. They have an indoor seating area and outdoor tables.

Right next to the Novotel where we were staying. This is a great local cafe if you want to go local and take in the atmosphere and great value breakfast. Friendly and helpful.

I'm a little be disappointed...we went there for breakfast and there were only industrial food (we found the same at the airport) and my hot chocolate was powder with hot milk...I think that success of this place is due of the good situation near a lot of hotels with too expensive breakfast...

Staying in Poblenou

Neighbourhood Profile
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centres catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
