We took a sidewalk table, seeking a wine and some tapas. We ordered a duck plate and a sardine dish and the food was delicious. Sitting outside the Pedrera was part of the treat. We went back a couple of days later and enjoyed the inside part of the restaurant and had excellent cocktails with a meat platter. This was... More

Sitting in this restaurant gives you a great close-up view of Gaudi's beautiful ceilings, and if I were rating on that alone, this review would start with a 5. The food, though, was another story. I'm usually reluctant to write a negative review based on one dish, but the poor execution of something as basic as Caesar salad suggests that... More

We visited the outdoor seating in the forenoon. Nice view of Gaudi's works but otherwise nothing special. Ate a rather musty sandwich which was relatively expensive. Stressed staff.

This cafe in the Pedrera building is a pretty standard Barcelona cafe, with a difference: it's actually located in a Gaudi interior. Go upstairs and have a seat and enjoy the setting. The food and drinks are pretty Barcelona cafe standard, and the service is decent. The special thing about this cafe is the experience. If you're in the area... More

Located in Casa Mila (La Pedreta), the interior is exceptional. There are also seating areas outside with nice views of the boulevard.

Seated for over half an hour with waiters and waitresses ignoring our request for service. Thankfully gave us the opportunity to admire the architecture!

The food was very good, but the service was perfunctory and distracted. We had prepaid for the dinner and tour and after making our meat selection, the waiters would simply dash up to add or remove plates. We never were able to get bread or water and had to go to the bar to ask for our coffee to be... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
