Our concierge at our hotel recommended this as the best seafood in Barcelona. It couldn't be further from the truth. We entered the restaurant and it is very beautiful. We were expecting better based on the beauty of the restaurant and and how highly recommended...More

When I was in Barcelona last December while leading a tour group, I went to take a dinner at Botafumeiro restaurant. It was actually recommended to me by the hotel concierge on my previous visit, and I had promised myself that I would return one...More

This restaurant is truly beautiful. An incredible culinary sequence of Galizia based on very fresh and rare fish. The service is fast and very professional, in particular, our server Wendy was outstanding in her way of describing to us the dishes and in her serenity...More

Beautiful decorated restaurant with professional staff made a good impression of the entire visit. We were very pleased with the food we got. Even though we ordered just a bottle of wine, main course and a coffee, they gave out free "starters" (bread, olives and...More

Maybe I went to the Botafumeiro with the high expectative of an excellent rice, but the food is not so good as people comment. The traditional paella had to many tomato instead of saffron, the rice very dried (burned at the borders) and few sea...More

This restaurant, while nice, is not as good as its prices and reviews may indicate. I admit this may have been an issue with what we ordered in particular, as our appetizers and desserts were very good. However, our main course was a serious letdown,...More

This review might have been better if I had been part of a large group of fish and seafood lovers. Instead it was two women, one that doesn't eat seafood or fish, and one that does. My issues with the restaurant were 1. Tagged as...More

Highly recommended by the hotel staff. No more expensive than a good restaurant anywhere in Melbourne. Well worth the visit!

I have been coming here since 2005 and I have to admit, it's the best in Barcelona! Try the mixed platter, they have two of those.. one cold and another one hot The cold one is my favorite, it's a dish for sharing for two...More

Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to
be an independent town until late into the 19th
century. Though it’s just a short commute away from
the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole
different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many
international artists to this area, resulting in a
wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy
boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the

Among the three hundred diners that fill this 30-year-old restaurant every day, you may spot the King of Spain, movie stars, and politicians. Botafumeiro has to be a well-oiled machine to keep all and sundry happy and coming back for more, and it does. The decor is so trad, with wood railings and banisters, white table linens, and nautically-themed art and objets. The menu focusses on the sea, try fruits de mer for two to start, followed by anglerfish fisherman's stew with white beams or one of the barbecued fish, then a dessert of Belgian chocolate volcano with chocolate sherbet. Wine list is an ambassador for Spanish wines.
