Very creative food, beautiful presentation, great wine list. Very reasonably priced for what you got. It certainly ranks as one of the top meals of our two-week visit to northern Spain.

Allthough you might be attracted by the Gaudi history of the building, you should go here for the restaurant. The atmosphere, the service, the quality of the food, the visual arrangement of the courses and the whole impression was more than we expected. We got four courses with wine both for the main courses and for the dessert for about... More

Don't be fooled into thinking that this historic Gaudi building must be a tourist trap. The food, service and ambience are first class in every way. The dining room is divided into a number of smaller rooms, giving the place a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The service is impeccable. We had no less than four different staff attending to our... I had booked several weeks ahead for lunch for three (a birthday treat) but I needn't have bothered as it was very quiet. After the scorching heat of the walk from the Sagrada Familia, the cool whitetiled interior was a welcome relief. There were possibly more staff than guests at this point, but we had been given a lovely table... More

We went to this place for two reasons, one, it provides gluten free meals and my wife is gluten intollerant, second, to see work of Gaudi. We were not dissipointed on both fronts. It is not cheap place but what a place. It is worth to go inside and see the amazing result of work of this great architect and... More

I confess I went for the building rather than the food, but the entire experience was delightful. The building is great. We had the lobster salad, lamb chops and sole. Everything done with a light touch so the flavors were all distinct, including the desserts of fruit and ice cream. We went easy on the wine so the entire bill... More

The menu is Gaudi inspired and there are incredible choices. We selected the Barcelona menu from the Tasting menu, so we can try the various dishes. The food tasted incredible and the presentation was very artistic. The combination of the artistic cuisine and the calming ambiance creates for a sensual experience.

We ate here in July and I haven't forgotten the meal since. Cuisine is marvelous. For starters we had a sublime ravioli followed by the warm salad of lobster & papaya & Ebro delta rice with clams. A glass of cava compliments both of those dishes. For mains we enjoyed the northern white tuna en papillae & the sole with... More

We splurged and ate here during our last night in Barcelona. It was a true treat and unlike any meal we've ever had. It was expensive, though worth it for the memories.

Description
Restaurant Casa Calvet is located in Casa Calvet, a building created for a textile manufacturer by the Catalan Architectural genius Antoni Gaudi.

Its accounting offices, management and boardrooms have been converted into semi-private dining rooms where we have preserved taste and elegance to the delight of our customers.

Restaurant Casa Calvet is a unique and exclusive place where dining becomes a sensual experience which blends the state of the art cuisine with the beauty of Gaudi's work.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
