Tapas and paella was fresh and good. Probably not the best in Barcelona but worth a try. I liked the experience. The decoration and ambiance was good. The service was flawless. If you are looking for a reasonably priced fresh paella you should try elche.

Lovely meal, we went early in the evening. Fantastic food, unfortunately we felt rushed. My husband was still eating his mussels when my main course arrived. The waiter then delivered his paella even though he was still eating! They then tried to take his mussels away mid spoon! Such a shame as the food was really tasty. Would still recommend... More

Excellent food, good service. We have returned to this restaurant many times, also brought customers. Feels really genuine (spanish food) and the food is excellent... A really good footnote is that the bill will be a pleasent surprise! Enjoy!

The food was brilliant. We had the seafood paella, which if you order has to be a minimum of 2 portions. Definitely worth it. The service however was poor. Felt sorry for the waiter as he was the only one working at the time. But it took an age to order, and we were given a bottle of wine €6... More

A couple of employees of the hotel recommended this place and we were not dissapointed, the menu is extensive and contains all the Spanish dishes you could ever want for. The service was friendly and the prices were very reasonable, although they did charge for the bread the brought to the table unasked! Overall we will probably return!

Wide variety of rice dishes: had the regional rice w chicken (2 portions for 3 pax) and we had to take away half the pan. Generous portions! nice fancy setting with starched table cloth and bright lights. Waiter was quite friendly but not overwhelming. quite pricey, about €35/pax for a rice dish, 2 starters and a bottle of local wine.

This place makes the best paella I've tried in my life. It's a must in Barcelona. The price is right for the outstanding food quality. The waiters, especially the Peruvian guy ( I can't remember his name) help make a great evening.

A taxi driver recommended this place to us. We went for lunch and the restaurant was a bit fancy. A bit lack of atmosphere but the paella was pretty good.

We went there to get Paella, but we could not order for one and you have to order Paella at least for two dishes, although it was written that you can order for one. The Paella was too greasy and did not worth that amount of money

My partner and I visited Elche for dinner on the day before we were due to leave Barcelona. The restaurant was clean, with nice decor and attentive waiting staff. The food was lovely, especially the monkfish which was bursting with flavour and came as a very hearty portion. Not the cheapest restaurant, but worth a visit!

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
