A very classic restaurant in everything, decoration, service and dishes but of an excellent quality, also have a very good wine cellar.

Not cheap at all, but amazing quality. Just a drink at the bar and a look at the photos of the owner beside innumerable famous people will tell you how good it is. Wonderful selection of meat which is cooked to order, and presented beautifully. Great wine selection and friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff. Saving up to go back!

This is a traditional restaurant with excellent raw material, cooked in a simple, tasty fashion. It is a pity because what could be a highly rewarding experience, it is not because of the service. Unfriendly and unhelpful just in border to be rude. We were introduced to the owner and did not improve our perception of the place, just the... More

Directly opposite our hotel, so very convenient ! Really enjoyed our food and wine, but very expensive. Fascinating interior -- about 4,000 bottles of wine stored in racks along walls ! Much decor based on Navarre.

Greeted at the bar, escorted to dining room downstairs. looks like couple hundreds yr old place, loved the atmosphere. blood sausage and others came complementary, was very good. ordered salad, garlic soup, fish and mushroom to share with my bf, they nicely separate all dishes in two. mushroom w foie gras was out of sight, omg! It is pricey but... More

It was perfect food, good service, the quality of drinks and variety is worth the prices and probably one of the few restaurants in Barcelona for the area with its own parking garage and personalized service. A must go if you are in town.

Among the best roasted lamb that I have ever tasted. Right up there with Casa botin in Madrid. Also wonderful foie gras. Delicious lobster bisque. Excellent Lobster crepes. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Lovely sitting in a wine cellar.

My wife and I had as an appetizer garlic soup, which we liked. She had flounder, which was so so. I had fish with an olive oil and garlic sauce that was terrible. I used to order the same exact dish at a very good Spanish restaurant in Guatemala City and I much preferred it to the one in Gorria.... More

Top restaurant food wise!!! The best meat I have eaten in ages, really. The service was on the 1970's side, waiters were cold and especially humourless. The owner on the other hand has thousands of pictures of himself posted with celebrities throughout the restaurant , rather tacky I'd say. Nice guy but how much self exposure ?

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
