I have visited this restaurant several times, but most recently for my mother's birthday. I'd recommend booking for a Friday night as they get quite busy towards 10pm. They prepared a wonderful dairy free sugar free cake for my mother, along with candles. It was a very special meal. Thank you!

The food is very good, they have an organic salad that you can serve yourself and three different plates to choose for first and main plate very atractive. The desserts are delicious. And the staff is very kind and nice.

Excellent menu of the day. Waitresses are really nice. Busy depending on the lunch time. Everything is fresh and yummy. Don't know is if the best vegetarian in the centre of the city, but the atmosphere plus the meal are ideal.

The set meal was perfect, the decoration ( we were in the back part) was "Barcelona-ish" and the waiters were spot on. Even if you are not vegetarian, you'll love the food - oh and ask for a ginger ale as an appetizer - a real tastebud explosion.

We went on a Friday night without a booking which wasn't a problem but we did get there early (they open at 8pm we arrived at about 20 past) The food is vegetarian with a good choice of vegan dishes too. The staff are friendly and helpful without being pushy or fussy. I had the soup of the day which... More

Small place without pretensions, for people who want to eat well and good prices. It was a long time since I visited a restaurant in Barcelona that the service was so good. The waitress recommended dishes from "La Carta" and the menu, she explained every question we had about the food and she recommended an exquisite organic red wine. The... More

Wow...not sure where to start. Stumbled on this gem by accident and was glad I stopped and ate there. The food is fantastic. Plentiful and tasty for a reasonable cost. The staff was attentive, informative and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant if you find yourself looking for a cozy vegetarian/vegan place in the heart of Barcelona!

Went with my family for a mid day menu, and had several options to choose from. They have a salad bar buffet option. The quality of the produce was great. This place is well worth the visit.

On a recent trip to Barcelona, i visited l'Hortet twice: lunch and dinner. They have a great selection on the fixed menu and it is extremely well priced. Food was tasty, innovative and very filling. During the lunch visit, we really observed that the restaurant is regularly visited by locals. So close to the Rambla, yet just enough away to... More

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
