Walk down into this tapas enclave. Surprised to find great tapas albeit a little more expensive than others visited. Staff is very businesslike, but helpful. Food was excellent.

any tapas worth to wait 45 min. There is no difference from other tapas restaurants. You can choose a quiet one and enjoy it..

Although we are relative tapas novices with not even a minimal command of Spanish or Catalan, La Bodegueta provided us with just what we had hoped for on our short first trip to Barcelona. The food and wine sampled was varied, interesting, and all excellent. The bar had a real buzz to it and unlike so much of central barcelona,... More

Since it was on rambla de catalunya I was skeptical that it was just going to be an overpriced tapas place for tourists but I was greatly surprised at their selection of tapas and how good they were. I would definitely go back it was a fun experience and the interior made it feel very authentic.

This restaurant was just around the corner from my hotel. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The tapas were delicious and they didn't scrimp on portions. I look forward to going back next Nov.

We found this place by accident for a late lunch. It was packed with locals and has a genuine small restaurant feel, packed with tables, a small bar, arched ceilings, beautiful tile floor, etc. We wanted to try vermouth and they serve it from casks behind the bar- delicious! And the tapas were amazing. Everything was so authentic and delicious,... More

Dined here by accident on our first night in Barcelona. We went to Quimet y Quimet but it was closed so we went to Cerveceria Catalana next but the queue were quite long so went looking for other dining place and found La Bodegueta. The place is quite small but cozy and has an outdoor area but we prefer to... More

Literally this tapas bar was just below where we were staying for two nights. It was filled with locals and looked inviting. While there were loads of seats outside, we wanted to sit inside and watch how 'things' worked. We enjoyed the wine on offer and the food we selected was delicious and not too expensive. Once we worked out... More

We really enjoyed this little restaurant. It's in a great little neighbourhood just off the tourist route. They went out of their way to meet our needs. There were lots of locals there which is a good sign. And did I say the food was yummy

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
