We found this place by accident for a late lunch. It was packed with locals and has a genuine small restaurant feel, packed with tables, a small bar, arched ceilings, beautiful tile floor, etc. We wanted to try vermouth and they serve it from casks behind the bar- delicious! And the tapas were amazing. Everything was so authentic and delicious,... More

Dined here by accident on our first night in Barcelona. We went to Quimet y Quimet but it was closed so we went to Cerveceria Catalana next but the queue were quite long so went looking for other dining place and found La Bodegueta. The place is quite small but cozy and has an outdoor area but we prefer to... More

Literally this tapas bar was just below where we were staying for two nights. It was filled with locals and looked inviting. While there were loads of seats outside, we wanted to sit inside and watch how 'things' worked. We enjoyed the wine on offer and the food we selected was delicious and not too expensive. Once we worked out... More

We really enjoyed this little restaurant. It's in a great little neighbourhood just off the tourist route. They went out of their way to meet our needs. There were lots of locals there which is a good sign. And did I say the food was yummy

It is becoming more and more popular but still has the best atmosphere and tapas in Barcelona. Don't tell anyone please

Whenever we are in Barcelona we come for lunch here. The food is great, the place is small but so completely Barcelona for us. The ham is great and so are the padrons. This spot is perfect for lunch to restart for the afternoon.

Since it was a sunny day we decided to have a drink and some tapas here. These were without a doubt the worst tapas we had in Barcelona. Also the wine was really bad. There are far better choices in this neighbourhood.

Our tour guide from nearby La Pedrera recommended this restaurant for tapas. It was so good we ate there twice. The waiters were friendly and understood our very basic Spanish. The food and wine were reasonable and delicious. Our waiter recognized us on the second night and made our meal even more enjoyable with his outgoing personality and great sense... More

A buzzing place serving reasonably priced tapas and drinks. We arrived at 8pm and had to wait a short while for a table but it was worth the wait - we were not disappointed. 10 plates of tapas and 2 bottles of cava between 3 of us came to 70ish euros. The menu ranges greatly in price, so you could... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
