We reserved a couple of weeks in advance by recommendation of friends. Nicely greeted on arrival. No menu. You get served what's available at the time. Including a half-bottle of cava. The dishes were mostly a series of seafood appetizers, fresh but the preparation was...More

Walk in / enjoy the cava that greets you and sit back and let the chef and his team take over - there are 3 "menus " with prefix pricing / but our party of 6 told the server and chef - surprise us with...More

So wonderful -- fresh seafood and no menu, they just bring you what's fresh, and in season, and perfectly paired with wine.

OK, so it has an intriguing entrance. So what? Their offering does not match their internet site. The waiter is impersonal, careless and forgetful. The food is average at best. The only thing above average at this restaurant are the prices. In Barcelona there are...More

I am an American from a Catalán background. This made all the difference when dining with 7 business colleagues.. Mostly Americans and two of them Chinese. The restaurant is not for everyone, especially if you can't adjust to the way things place works. It's a...More

This place has its own charm and atmosphere. Food is fantastic and the prices are reasonable. This restaurant doesn't have any menu, once you're at your table, different plates will follow. I wish waiters explain what's served sometimes it's not really easy to guess. Other...More

Went on a recommendation of a friend, we really wanted it to be our perfect last night (8 day trip) in Barcelona. BTW I usually reject most negative reviews as I believe some people look for things to complain about. First of all they tried...More

I visited this restaurant 10 years ago based on Anthony Bourdain recommendation.. Still as impressive. Oddly enough we sat at sane table and had the same waiter!!! Food is outstanding. No need to say more

Visited last week during atorrential downpour. Yes, it is very difficult to find. On arrival the manager/owner was not in the least interested ! Our wet coats were left hanging on our chairs. Selection of shellfish was very uninteresting & very rushed. Having been to...More

The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants

Hi, My friends have booked Passadis for a birthday dinner and I have concerns about the no menu thing as my husband has a severe shellfish and nut allergy and I have a gluten allergy. Some of the reviews state that pretty much just shellfish of one variety or another was served. Do you think we'll be able to eat anything and that they can adhere to the allergy issue? On the comments about everything being covered in oil, did anyone try asking for a replacement without all the oil? If so, success?

While the food served at this restaurant is heavy on shellfish, I am sure they will work with you if you are patient and communicate effectively. Worst case, your husband will pass on one or two of the 9 courses!

I would like to make a reservation for either October 2 or October 3, 2015. I have looked at your website before but am finding that it is not working now. Can someone there help me with this? Thank you Nadine
