The view is stunning and largely worse the experience. Was a little disappointed about the service and meal. The service as we had a reservation for 13:00 and although 2 calls and several bell ring, no one came to pick us up before 13:15 and no excuse. The personnel should be a little more smiling. Was disappointed about the meal... More

Dined here last week - a surprise booked by my partner. The restaurant is nice however the windows are filthy which takes the spark off the view and your pictures. Not something you would expect at a Michelin Star restaurant. The menu is limited as you expect at a restaurant of its kind - if you are a fussy eater... More

What an excellent restaurant located at the top of an old watchout tower near the harbour. We chose this restaurant for 12 guests at a conference and we all were delighted. The staff, menu and ambiance were excellent. Overall price was approx €60/head, which for the quality of the food and wine was excellent. The view from the tower deck... More

The food is delicious. What truth does not knock on my knees We were a larger group and everyone ate something else. Everyone liked it . And this is most important !!! There is one not zaprzeczalny plus this restaurant - VIEW !!!! Because it is located on a tower 70 meters above sea level. It is worth to take... More

The view are great, but thats all you get. Menu Gourmet is the most expensive you can get at around 120 p.p. Was a disappointment. Presentation is ok, but there is literally no service - you need to waive your hand for good 5 min to be noticed. Taste wise: its not bad, fish was a bit too dry, which... More

On our last day in Barcelona enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Torre d'Alta Mar, on top of the tower supporting the cable car to Montjuic. Stumbled on the ground level entrance while wandering around the port/marina area. Menu at the front sounded interesting, and had a lunch option that sounded beautiful and very reasonably priced. After a lift ride to... More

It was our first day in Barcelona and I took my partner for her 26th birthday and she absolutely loved it. The food is very tasty and well presented. However at first, I got to admit when they served the first plate and I saw the portion. I did think to myself I will have to pop to McDonald's afterwards... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
