when a place is packed to the rafters with locals, you just know it's gonna be good! and El Glop didn't disappoint, was advised to share starters due to the vast quantity of food about to come our way, good advice! every dish was superb but especially the seafood Paella, fantastic atmosphere, great staff, brilliant food, if I wanted to... We were looking to escape the tourist 'traps' and found this lovely place. From outside looked really small but was actually quite big. It was empty when we got in but only half an hour later there was a waiting list. And it looked like there were mostly local people. The food was really simple and yet very delicious. We... More

I discovered this place a bit by accident, but am glad I did, because I ended up dining there 3 times in one week! The first time I was alone -- the only table for one in the whole restaurant, which got me weird looks from other customers, and 5 star treatment from the part of the staff. The following... More

If you are in Barcelona and are looking to escape the crowded tourist hotspots then Gracia is a great neighbourhood to check out. Here you will find hoardes of independent bars and restaurants which are sure to blow your mind. However amongst them stands this iconic tavern which has been serving the neibourhood for over 30 years. Paellas, tapas and... More

It was okay, but it could have been better. I will not judge the food because I only ate one of the menu items.

I ate at the restaurant itself, because if you eat at the tables in the street it cost 10 percent more and also the atmosphere is very quiet and the vibe is good. I ordered the chicken vegetables paella that was delicious.

Don't miss this place. Great food and wine. The only advice is asking to talk with someone who speak English at least

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
