Seems obvious, you go in business doing something you are passionate about. Say it's chocolate and pastries. Cool. Now you can mix and produce in an industrial location , sell thru other cafés or shops or u can go with offering a full experience to customers and share your passion with them by opening a nice café and store. I... More

I didn't visit this store; I ended up buying their chocolates at the airport, where the clerk was friendly. But I wouldn't have cared if I had had to fight her to buy this premium chocolate. It's worth it to any chocoholic. The herbal sampler was adventurous, with flavors such as saffron, lavender and rosemary. The strawberry & roses bar... More

We were recommended to come here by a friend who said the chocolate was amazing. I'm sure the chocolate is, but after experiencing the worst service Imaginable, i have no idea how it tastes, after walking out disgusted. To describe the staff as moody, unhelpful and rude would be polite. We walked Into the cafe area looking for a nice... More

One of the places you can taste really good dark chocolate. I had an excellent hot dark chocolate with local pastry. I would recommend the place if you're a chocaholic.

If you love dark chocolate to eat or drink to sprinkle on food to gift or just look at or look at this is the place to go. We went here for an afternoon pick up and the coffee , the Mocca eclair do and the chocolate mousse is terrific. We also bought gifts for everyone home.

This place is well worth seeking out, especially if you are even a slight chocaholic. The shop at the front has a huge assortment of hand-crafted chocolates with many unusual flavours (curry, gin & tonic and wasabi anyone??!!). At the back of the shop is a small cafe where you can sample some of the wares. The hot chocolate is... More

Our friend, Ot Pi, took us there the first night we had arrived in Barcelona. We sat down to drink a cup of chocolate that was so thick and rich that you had to sip it out of a spoon. I was instantly in love. There is a chocolate shop attached and I wanted to peruse the goodies there but... More

I first purchased chocolates at Cacao Sampaka when the shop. cafe opened about twenty years ago (I think) and it still retains its original appeal. The chocolates selections are adventurous (chills, peppers, spices, fruits, herbs et al) and are available in different box sets. The café is an ideal place to meet with friends away from the hustle and bustle of... Top notch chocolate quality…smooth, deep and rich Azteca chocolate drink. Also had to buy my stock of chocolate coated orate sticks and raspberries--intense fruit flavor and not too sweet.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
