My grandmother told me she went to one of the last meals served, too bad for this Catalan Classic. This place had the freshest ingredients because of its proximity to the mercat de san josep. I remember the amazing mixtures of delicious wild mushrooms and...More

This is an authentic Catalan restaurant in a side street of the Ramblas. It is classy in a traditional Catalan style. It is old fashioned, and some may find it weird. However, if you want to find out how very good restaurants were operating, this...More

The place is small and it gives you this very special experience of private service. Staff is super discrete and with "ancient" approach of elegance. Excellent catalan food and wide selection of spanish wines. Fresh mushrooms during the season!

This is a small restaurant near Liceu and the Meridien Hotels off La Rambla. It is somewhat pricey for Barcelona so save it for a special occasion. My husband and I went for our last night in Barcelona. You must make reservations during tourist season.

Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this
gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an
excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic

authenticity protrudes from the many independent
record stores, second hand shops, and student bars
that seem to light up the streets day and night. The

As well as being very central, it is just around the corner from the Liceo opera house, making it the ideal choice after a show since the restaurant extends its opening hours when performances are on.
