Finished an excellent walking tour here and planned staying for lunch. Extremely rude and unhelpful staff. Refused to give change to tip guide. Avoid - far better places in Barcelona

Was looking around Barcelona and spotted a cheap tapas deal on a board outside the Travel Bar, so we all decided to get it. I have never had such greasy, disgusting food in England, so it is not what I expected from the "Tapas Country'. The toilets were filthy, the service was by a miserable oldish man. Bad experience and... More

Walking thru the gothic area , our guide was Joe,very informative. Fantastic ! lasted for around 1 1/2 hrs pay what ever you think it's worth. Some only paid coins but this tour is worth far more. We thought €20 was a bargain. Thank you.

Great place to take a tapas and drink, with more than pleasant service The girl who worked that day way more than pleasant surprise for us in Barcelona, with warm welcome, speaking English great and with great service, even though we just took some tapas and a couple of drinks. It was fine place to sit outside and take a... More

A refreshing beer before our walking tour was essential if we were going to spend the next two hours in the sun - and Joe's energetic, dramatic and chronological tour of the Gothic quarter was enlightening and entertaining: we learned a lot about the history of the city and it gave context to what we see and experience in Catalunya.... The Travel Bar is not only a tapas cerveceria, it also hosts many other concurrent activities. It serves as a meeting base for an excellent "Free Tour" group business, and is one of many 'feeder' merchants for other tourist activities run by unrelated businesses. For example it sells tickets for an excellent Flamenco show/club and also tickets for a Spanish... More

A great little bar tucked away in the gothic quarter. Dark and mellow inside but obviously popular with stag and hens as the bar puts on various games for them which looked fun! We decided to come back the following day as we saw the walking tours advertised. We went on the 3pm one and wasn't disappointed! The guy from... More

We originally didn't have particularly high hopes for the Travel Bar and only visited as part of a 'Flamenco and Tapas Experience' package advertised on Get Your Guide. However, the bar offers a very convenient location and is perfect for a few drinks amongst some friendly like-minded tourists after a busy day drinking in the culture of the city. The... More

On my first solo trip and stumbled across the place by chance. Ended up staying there several nights and having a wild time. Simon, Heather and the guys took care of me. I cannot recommend this place enough. Loved it.
