The one time we didn't check Trip Advisor before going in and we entered into this s$$$hole. It was late at night and we were looking for a quick snack. It was our mistake for not checking any prices first. We asked for two slices of pizza and two soft drinks. We were told to sit and they would bring... More

On Las Ramblas and I knew it would be basic and it was, however ok for a quick pit stop as I was starving and didn’t have the time for a proper sit down meal, so a baguette on the go filled the gap.

Stopped in here for a coffee and quick snack while walking Las Ramblas. I was fully aware of what a tourist trap I was walking into, but I was starving and wanted to wait no more. The café con leche was actually pretty damn good. The chorizo sandwich we ate was one slice of cheese on top of like 5... More

Just what everyone else said. I went here for a sandwich and drink and it came to €10, because they had the nerve to charge €5 for a glass of pop. I argued and they said everything was expensive in that area. Apparently this place used to be great so I was looking forward to going here but this left... More

6 euros for a terrible sandwich and 2,50 for the water: "no no, it's 4 for the sandwich my friend, 2 for the water", bloody LIARS! Do yourself a favor and go to the Mcdonalds in front. Totally better.

We bought two baguettes and took two sodas from the fridge. They asked us if we wanted to sit, and we said yes. They took the sodas we had chosen and said they would bring it with the food. When we got the food and drinks, it wasn't the soda and food we had picked out. The sodas was watered... More

Stopped here for a cheap lunch. Baguettes are fine €5. The con is with the drinks. A small beer is €8. Wish I checked TripAdvisor first as everyone is warning this place is a big con. €13 and the waiter knew exactly what he was doing. Shocking.

Just got back from what would have been a very pleasant day out in Barcelona. Morning at the museum, a stroll up Las Ramblas on the way to catch the metro back to our hotel, when we thought it would be good to sit in the sunshine and have a drink and a snack. Big mistake when a €5 sandwich,... More

So my wife and I used to love this place, it was very nostalgic for us since we first ate at La Baguetina near the urquinaona metro station in 2011. We remember the sandwiches weren't bad but we just loved it. Fast forward to 2016, the one on urquinaona is gone so we went to the one on La Rambla... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighbourhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
