Recommended to us by someone at our hostel! We went back three times! The food was great and vegetarian food is nice break from all the meat that you are constantly eating in Spain. There are enough choices that even adamant carnivores can find something...More

We found this place on the off chance, and loved it. The food was tasty and fresh, and the smoothies to die for!! We are both meat eaters, but thoroughly enjoyed the food. Would highly recommend the goats cheese spelt wrap thing. Wonderful :)

As a vegetarian visiting Spain, I wasn't expecting too much, so La Bascula was an absolute delight. It's in a great location, and has a wonderful, relaxed & friendly atmosphere - but the best thing is the food. My boyfriend (a meat-eater) raved as much...More

We ate at La Bascula on March 27, 2013. We'd read about it in a travel magazine, which touted it as the best vegetarian restaurant in Barcelona. While we did not eat at every vegetarian restaurant in Barcelona, I would have to agree that La...More

Cash required and only open Wednesday to Sunday-with early closing of 7 pm on Sunday. I say this upfront because I wanted to revisit this restaurant while in Barcelona, but missed the opportunity. Cool, casual environment with wonderful food. Daily specials offer a nice variety...More

El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants
