We were recommended this area, by our night reception manager, where there are a number of interesting places to try. Tapas were at one euro per item, and small beer was just over a euro. Had we not had sangria it would have been a very cheap night out. Longer we were there the more interesting the tapas that came... More

On a 4 day trip of Barcelona, I had researched some eateries to frequent whilst we were in town, and purposely when to eat at Blai Tonight - got there to not have a 'feel' the place so took a wander further down the street. Zodiaco is a small intimate bar, about 12- 16 seats lining the bar, a few... More

If you are after a super cheap, very quick and tasty meal then you can't get much better. One of the better spots on this street and as demonstrated by its busyness. Go for the chorizo and roasted pepper and avoid the croquettes

We visited late Sunday afternoon having been tourist all day very tired and hungry. Were given a very warm welcome drinks were ice cold and served really quickly. The food was delightful. Just when you thought you'd had enough another tray of food appeared on the counter which was irresistible. Really nice staff and moreish food.

I suggest this place to enjoy a drink with friends and eat something. Nice deal: Pinchos 1€ each Cañita (small beer) 1€ Perfect location near carrer de Blai.

Pinchos self-service restaurant where you can eat as many pinchos as you want. There are many different kinds, which ia good, but a lot of them were fried. Some of the pinchos, especially those with tomato, tasted funny. I would say that they are cheap because of their low quality. Also, the place gets crowded easily and it's very noisy.

The tapas are not that expensive, but once you see what happens in the kitchen, the only thing you want is to throw up. The chef spitted in the garbage where there was a paper towel, and he used it to clean the kitchen surface. Another thing is that he mixed two unfinished dishes of paella to serve it to... More

I visited here with 2 friends for lunch and even though I was absolutely starving and would have eaten anything this place was nothing to rave about. Could have cooked the food myself at home (I had chicken breast fries and salad). The tapas did look good but I couldn't try them as I'm gluten intolerant

We ate as a family of 5 looking forward to some tapas. We were disappointed. Most dishes basically consisted of lots of lettuce padding a very meagre helping of food (see photo). We had to move on to another eatery to make amends. Avoid this place.

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
