Went her with a couple of friends who were staying with us in Girona. Only been once, but would definitely go again. The food was delicious and well presented. Their English isn't great, but you can get by.

Undoubtlessly, one of the best steak tartares I have ever had! But not only this was remarkable. The anchovies, the sardins and the 'peus de porc' were also worth the visit to this cosy restaurant! And, believe me, keep some room for the desert! Delicious!! The wines are mainly local and have some international references for those who don't want... More

In the heart of Girona's historic area, Cal Ros is an excellent choice. We stayed in Girona for one night and came here for dinner. We wanted an exclusive, and "nice" dinner for our one evening in Girona at a semi reasonable price, and that's what we got. Food: Really tasty. Traditional spanish food with a twist. Small sized entrees,... More

This was a random pick while walking through Girona. On a quiet tiny square, we sat outside under arches. Great spot to engage in people-watching, practically no motorized traffic. The food did not rise to any especial acclaim, in our opinion, but was good nonetheless. Service and overall experience very pleasant.

In a medieval cave, an elegant atmosphere combines with outstanding "nouvelle Catalan" cuisine--with the caveat of enormous portions. The foie gras and oxtail criquettas surprised on every front. The deer carpaccio served with "plats complements" was complexity unusual and delicious. The steak tartare, prepared table side, was amongst the best we've had (and if there is something raw on the... More

Enjoy quality food in this small, spacious (tables are not too close to each other) restaurant. There are not too many places so I suggest reservations. Good staff, not the first place you walk in to because it's kind of dark from the outside but certainly a recommendation. one thing: No phone reception because of the thick medieval walls

We had lunch yesterday in Cal Ros without having planned it and we certainly took a good decision. We had the special menu for the 'temps de flors' time (flower time), tasting the meals with flowers honouring the dates. Good presentation, good meals, cosy place. Middle priced. Acceptable quality-price relationship

Its a nice restaurant. But I felt it too expensive for the quality since everything really was too salty. Tasty going in but left me extremely thirsty all evening long.

Very interesting to see the mix of reactions below -- as the four of us had a truly fine dinner experience. In our favor, it was a quiet evening, our server was attentive and thoroughly professional, and by our benchmark, a full dinner with wine and drinks for E 50 per person counts as good value indeed. Being inexperienced with... More

Easily accessible restaurant located in the Old Town. Michelin recommended and justifiably so. It had the appearance and feel of an upmarket establishment and the excellent quality of the food reinforced the initial impression. The staff were business-like but in no way over-formal. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience which will be one of our fond memories of Girona
