I was here last week with my friend & her daughter. The service was really good from both the waiting staff & chefs, we felt really welcomed by everyone. The food was one of the best Italians i have been too & will definitely be back. The food was delivered very fast and was cooked perfectly. We both had a... More

If you're in Girona, do yourself a favor and have a meal at Massana. We were trying to fit in a lot of sightseeing so skipped the tasting menu, but the dishes we had were outstanding. I'm a vegetarian and the chef was absolutely accommodating about this. He came out to our table to take our order (he did this... More

My first reaction was that some of the sauces and glazes were a bit too sweet according to my habitual preferences, and I also found a broth a bit salty; however, integrating these "surface garnishes" with the interior of the dish gives a delicious result. The inherent qualities of the carefully selected raw materials were presented to best advantage, and... More

Had a wonderful meal with excellent service. Some really original dishes, all of which are exquisite.

This was the very best dinner and wine menu. The staff and the chef was outstandingly skilled and friendly. Especially the "chokolate" foie gras was one of the best dishes we ever had! The complementary wines was soo perfect. It is a must go place if you are ever in the area!

Have experienced many Michelin-star restaurants before. Overall a great experience with the tasting menu. A bit too much use of foie, "ceps" and trufle in many dishes. We enjoyed better some more simple flavors like duck "magret". Very creative way to present dishes; we particularly loved the "capuccino" as a starter and the "eggs" for desert. Not to be missed... We wanted to have a Michelin experience when in Girona so booked this before we left Australia. On the night we decided to go with the degustation menu and matching wine. It was spectacular. The food was clever and delicious, and both food and wine plentiful. The 9 or 10 courses were varied, pretty, theatrical, and scrumptious. The foie gras... More

This was not what we expected...location not nice, restaurant very stuffy, the service as well. Food did not deliver on presentation or flavour. We ate a lot better in quite a few places all over Spain...Odd combinations, textures, and served too cold, not wowing.. we had the tasting menue but is was not what we expected from a restaurant this... Once again we made a pilgrimage to Girona just for the joy of eating at Massana, and it was worh it. This is the type of restaurant that you can't help but smile with every bite. To say that the food is amazing, delicious, creative, fresh, healthy and wonderfully presented does not begin to describe the experience. Every dish is... More

I visited Massana whilst on a foodie long weekend with some mates. We had the taster menu (with suggested wines) and the whole experience was fantastic. I imagine the general decor is deliberately subdued, with a simple colour scheme and spotlight above each table. But this only serves to ensure the attention is focused on what is on the table,...
