My friend from Madrid took me here. I loved it. Huge lunch menu for only 11e from memory. Included a bottle of wine between 2 people. Food is basic but abundant. Seemed to be 90% locals and 10% tourists like me. GO HERE!

Not a place for tourists. Highly recommended by Spanish friends as the quintessential Madrid restaurant experience. Be prepared to queue on the street for an hour. Inexpensive. Clean and well maintained. The staff work very hard and try to please. But. Do not expect anyone...More

Do not be put off by the appearance of the restaurant. When we arrived, we were slightly concerned as the restaurant was virtually empty (at 21:00), but shortly after we sat down the restaurant filled up. It's clearly a popular spot. The food is cheap,...More

Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once
home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de

neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich
heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes
from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to
them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas
